We live in a special place. The United States was created as a unique government based upon a unique set of beliefs. Principals such as "all men are created equal" - "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights". What we are and what we have become is special. But have we become what we were supposed to be? Have we fulfilled the dreams of the Founders? Would they recognize what the United States is today? How have our leaders interpreted and defined our founding principles over the years? What did the Founders intend for America to become?
To answer these questions and others we are going to spend a large portion of our year analyzing the essential documents and speeches that have defined our Nation.
